The course includes a broad range of modules which cover the key areas of modern business giving you a well-rounded knowledge base and the confidence to work as a professional within any organisation.
The range of subjects you will study include marketing, finance, human resource management, business strategy, international business and entrepreneurship.
You will also have the opportunity to develop an array of key transferable skills sought after by employers. These include strategic and critical thinking, problem solving, working with others, leadership and negotiation.
How long is the course?
This course is delivered over two years, full-time and commences in September. Attendance is typically 9.00am – 4.30pm across three days per week, although evenings may be included.

Where will I study?
You will study at University Campus Barnsley, Church Street, Barnsley, South Yorkshire, S70 2AN.
What equipment will I need?
You will need to provide your own writing material, paper and folder. You will also need a storage device (USB) to save computerised work.
How will I be assessed?
Most modules are assessed on 100% coursework, with some modules being assessed by a mixture of coursework and module exams. Assessment methods are assignment based and may include practical projects including presentations, group activities, written reports or research projects.
What can I do next?
Following this course you can progress on to University to undertake a range of business related top up degrees, or go into business related employment. This qualification may enable you to claim accredited prior learning against an undergraduate qualification dependent on the institution’s entry policy and the programme that you are considering.
